The Prince William Board of County Supervisors has eight members and sets the direction for County government. They follow the Constitution and laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and operate under the County Executive form of government.
Seven members are elected from local districts, and the Chair is elected by voters countywide. Jeannie LaCroix represents the Woodbridge Magisterial District on the Board.
The Board’s main responsibilities include passing local laws, setting policies, approving the County budget and major projects, setting tax rates, making land use decisions, and appointing people to boards and commissions.
